Abstract

591,071. Hair-curling appliances. WARD, E. S. W. April 26, 1945, No. 10521. [Class 131] A hair curler of the kind in which a tress of hair is wound on a rod pivoted to one end of a channel-shaped body member characterized in that the curler rod 7 is pivoted to one end of the body 1 by means of a hook 8 provided at its inner end which is adapted to engage in a hole 9 formed in the end of the body. The body member is resilient and open at both ends 3, 4, the space between the lips being smaller than the channel inside the body member. The rod may be waved,:serrated, tubular or may be twolegged, the hook hinge engaging the hole 9, being formed at the apex of the V. The body member may be perforated at 6.
