Abstract

422,831. Hair - curling appliances. SOLOMON, N. L., 2814, Avenue K, Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A. June 22, 1934, No. 18475. Convention date, June 22, 1933. [Class 131] A hair-curling device comprises pivoted members 10, 11 between which the end of a tress is gripped and about which the tress is wound, and a resilient loop 13 adapted to secure the wound tress in position, the ends of the loop 13 being pivoted to extensions 18, 19 of the members 11, 10. The members 10, 11 are provided with apertures 12, and the end of the member 10 is provided with grooves engaged by the end 29 of the loop 13. In a modification, the end 29 of the loop is provided with indentations which engage indentations in the end of the member 10. The members 10, 11 are opened by pressure on the extensions 18, 19, which are normally urged outwardly by the resilient loop 13.
