Abstract

580,915. Tubular lamp fittings. VERITYS, Ltd, and FORTH, J. W. Nov. 18, 1944, No. 22948. [Classes 75 (ii) and 75 (iv)] A lighting fitting for fluorescent tubular discharge lamps comprises a rigid skeleton framework consisting of parallel bars 1, 2, 3 connecting the ends 4 of boxes 5 housing the choke, transformer, starting switch, suppressor condenser,' and the brackets and clips 18 supporting the lamp 16. The reflector 8 which may be of light gauge sheet metal or a flexible material known under the Registered Trade Mark "Bexoid" is threaded under the bar 3 and is bent at its edges to snap in grooves formed along the tops of the bars 1, 2. The ends of the reflector are supported by flanges 9 on the box ends 4. Shields 21 closing the undersides of the boxes are secured in position by screws and nuts 26.
