[Class 39 (i)] The anode or anodes of a thermionic valve are provided with a small aperture over which is secured by adhesive a piece of fluorescent material to indicate the operation, of the valve. According to the Provisional Specification, the fluorescent material may be mounted on the envelope in line with an aperture or apertures in the anode or anodes.
