Abstract

619,136. Thermionic valves. HIVAC, Ltd., and GOULDING, F. A. April 1, 1946, No. 10068. [Class 39 (i)] A planar cathode mounting comprises a filament wire 4 disposed against one surface of a flat mica plate 1 so as to span an opening in the plate and supported by metal parts in the same plane as and secured to,the mica plate. Preferably two mica plates are used, as in the Figure, with the filament disposed between them. The filament may be supported at one end by a spring 6. The opening in the mica plate or plates may be at the edge, as in the Figure, or in the middle, Specification 619,771 is referred to in the Provisions. Specification.
