[Class 7 (iii)] [Also in Group XXIX] A spraying nozzle for injecting fuel into the cylinder inlet pipe comprises a cylinder A formed with rings of perforations A<2> and a skirted piston G formed with corresponding perforations G<1> adapted to be brought into partial or complete registry with the perforations A<2> under pressure applied to the interior of the piston by liquid introduced into an extension A<1> of the cylinder through an inlet D. The exterior of the piston is grooved at G<2>, the outer grooves checking leakage of liquid and the inner ones containing the perforations G<1>. A spring K on the piston-rod F urges the piston to the closed position.
