Abstract

1322943 I.C. engine fuel injectors BARKASWERKE VEB 11 Aug 1970 38703/70 Heading F1B A fuel injector 1, which has a flange 7 clamped in a sleeve 4, 10, contains a spring-loaded needle valve 3 guided in a bore 8. The valve 3 has a reduced diameter portion 9 and/or the bore 8 includes a counter-bore 15, at least within the length of the flange 7, so that clearance is provided between the valve and bore over a length equal to or greater than the length of the flange. The injector 1 is mounted in the cylinder 12 by the sleeve extension 10 which abuts a sealing ring 11. A deformable sealing ring 14 may be provided between a shoulder 13 on the extension 10 and the injector 1.
