Abstract
559,980. Valve gear. SANDERS, A. F. Oct. 21, 1942, No. 14749. [Class 7 (vi)] In a supercharged engine, the tendency of the boost pressure to open the inlet valve 16 is counteracted by admitting the pressure fluid through passages 20, 17, 18 to a cylinder 13 containing a piston 11 secured to the end of the valve stem remote from the valve head.
