[Class 110 (iii)] A gas turbine plant comprises a turbine driving the air-compressor and working with air in a closed cycle and a useful power turbine driven by products of combustion of fuel burnt in'a part of the air delivered by the compressor. The compressor turbine may be coupled to the useful power turbine through a variable speed gear which may be a hydraulic torque adjuster or an electric coupling.
