553,235. Anchors. DANFORTH, R. S. Sept. 11, 1941, No. 11649. Convention date, March 12. Drawings to Specification. [Class 113 (i)] A twin-fluke anchor has a stock of length at least 2¢ times the distance between the respective centres of area of the portions of the flukes forward of their pivot, these areas being more than 65 per cent of the total fluke area, the total fluke area forward of said pivot by more than 20 per cent of the shank length being at least 60 per cent of the resistance area. A plane passing through the point of cable attachment and the forward ends of the flukes in operative position makes an angle of less than 75 degrees with the projected fluke forward faces.
