[Class 146 (iii)] A pen-nib 2 is provided on its underside with a reservoir attachment formed by a plate 1 anchored intermediate its ends on the nib so that the forward end bears resiliently against the point of the nib and the feed-bar of a fountain pen can pass between the plate and nib at the rear end. The plate 1 is pivoted to the nib by lugs 3 and apertures 4 and the rear end is arranged to bear on the sides of the nib and hold the front end in contact with the pointed end of the nib; in order to permit flexure of the plate the rear end is weakened, for instance by the provision of a slit 10. The forward end of the plate is bent up at 7 into contact with the nib, and its. intermediate portion 8 is stepped and lies spaced slightly from the end of the feed-bar when this is inserted. The part 9 is corrugated to provide traps for the ink when the pen is upturned. The front end of the plate may be bifurcated, and inturned lugs may project into the ink-feed channel.
