Abstract

<PICT:0586917/III/1> A pen particularly adapted for sign or other decorative writing comprises a nib formed of a number of side-by-side metal strips 40 positioned in a holder 41 by the engagement of lugs 42 thereon with transverse grooves 43 and secured by a clamping-plate 44. The nib-tip can be made more flexible by locating the lugs in the groove 43 nearer the point and its width can be varied by using the inner groove to step back the end elements as shown. A space 46 forms the ink reservoir, but alternatively the handle 48 may contain a reservoir such as a rubber sac.
