487,815. Vacuum cleaners. AIR-WAY ELECTRIC APPLIANCE CORPORATION. Aug. 21, 1937, No. 22987. Convention date, Aug. 25, 1936. [Class 8 (i)] A guard for the nozzle of a vacuum cleaner comprises a web 28 formed with terminal U - bends, and cross arms 30 with hooks, co-operating with buttons 32 on the nozzle lips. Specifications 487,801 and 487,806 are referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 states that the wheels 40 are carried by arms fixed on a shaft 45 which also carries an arm 52 fixed in adjustable position to adjust the height from the floor. An attachment 60 for auxiliary tools or suction hose is normally closed by a cap 61 on a shaft carrying also a valve 66 controlling commmication with the fan. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
