439,411. Vacuum cleaners. ELECTROLUX, Ltd., Luton.-(Assignees of Lofgren, G. E. ; 26, Halsted Place, Rye, New York, U.S:A.) May 20, 1935, No. 14723. Convention date, May 19, 1934. [Class 8 (i)] A vacuum-cleaner nozzle has a plate 26 clipped to it, this plate having lateral openings 27 and a central opening 32, the latter having tangential openings 33 leading to it so that a vortex is formed. In a modification the plate is formed integral with the remainder of the nozzle. Specification 425,955 is referred to.
