487,326. Pipe joints. SHAW, H. O. N., and PETRO-FLEX TUBING CO., Ltd. Dec. 17, 1936, No. 34669. [Class 99 (i)] A hose pipe coupling comprises a spigot 1 having at one end means 3, 4 for connection to a fitting or union, an externally screw-threaded .portion 6 and a tapered portion 7 terminating in a reduced portion 8, and a sleeve 9 screwing onto the spigot, the bore of the sleeve fitting the hose 2 and having an intermediate portion 11 of reduced diameter provided with a tapered part 10 corresponding to the taper of the spigot.
