Abstract

407,143. Pipe couplings. STONES, E. E., 18, Glenville Avenue, and CROSSLEY, J. L., 61, Atholl Drive, both in Giffnock, Glasgow. Nov. 17, 1932, No. 32484. [Class 99 (i).] A connector for the end of a flexible tube comprises a tubular member 6, the bore of which is screw-threaded at 8, fits the tube 11 at 12, and has an intermediate recess 13 into which the tube end is expanded by a nipple 10 which is screwed into the connector. The end of the connector bore is flared and the end of the nipple rounded to facilitate assembly. The portion 12 of the connector may be fluted to fit the fluted exterior of the tube. Specification 396,882 is referred to.
