[Class 36] A cable is secured to a messenger wire or support by means of a strip member 15 having a slit 17 therein, the strip 15 being looped first round the cable or the support and the free end of the strip passed through the slit, and then similarly looped round both said cable and support. A saddle member 18 having projections 19 may be arranged on the support, the strip member 15 passing over the saddle and between the projections 19.
