465,837. Seamed and soldered joints. CONTINENTAL CAN CO., Inc. Dec. 19, 1935, No. 35259. Convention date, Aug. 12. [Class 83 (iv)] The side seam of a can or like container comprises alternately disposed interlocked, seamed joints and lap joints, portions of the lap joints being folded back into abutted relation, and the entire seam being soldered. A blank 1 is cut away to form recesses 4, 7, the parts 6, 9 being folded into abutted relation while the parts 5, 8 are interlocked.
