465,725. Motor vehicles. TENNANT, W. J. (Tatra Works, Ltd. Motor Car & Railway Carriage & Wagon Builders) Nov. 7, 1935. No. 30843. [Classes 79 (ii), 79 (iii), and 79 (v)] [Also in Groups XXXIV and XXXII] Wheels mounted on cranked axles 5, stated to be particularly applicable for use on electricallypropelled vehicles, are fitted with the driving-gear 9 on the inner side of the wheel and the brake-drum 10 on the other side. The brake-operating means, e.g. the pressure-conduit of a hydraulic-system, is preferably led through the axle 5. As shown, the axle 5 is journalled on the sleeve 3 of the motorshaft 4 the pinion 4 of which meshes directly with the gear 9.
