425,454. Driving and steering endlesstrack vehicles. TENNANT, W. J., 111, Hatton Garden, London.-(Tatra Works Ltd. Motor Car and Railway Carriage and Wagon Builders; 200, Kartouzska, Smichov, Prague) Aug. 31, 1934, No. 25143. [Class 79 (ii)] Each track is driven by an independent transverse shaft 6, 7 having bevel gears 4, 5 engaged by pinions 2, 3 loose on a longitudinal driving shaft 1, the pinions being fixed to clutch and brake drums 8, 8<1> by which they may be independently clutched to or de-clutched from the driving shaft and independently braked for steering. The vehicle may be stopped by declutching and braking both pinions together.
