Change-speed gearing; driving steering-wheels. -A front wheel drive in which the axle shaft f is arranged between the engine and the changespeed gear, and the lay shaft k of the gear is continuously driven by the driving shaft a<1> carrying a hollow change-speed gear shaft b, is characterized in that a worm shaft is constructed integrally with the hollow shaft b, and drives the axle shaft f through a worm wheel e. The shaft f may be above or below the hollow shaft b. The worm d is preferably integral with the shaft b. The gearing is enclosed in a casing m, p fixed to the chassis frame q.
