463,212. Multitubular steam boilers. DAVEY, PAXMAN, & CO. (COLCHESTER), Ltd., and HAZELL, R. L. K. Dec. 12, 1935, No. 34490. [Class 123 (ii)] In a boiler having a flue b at one side and tubes or groups of tubes c, d at the other, an arched combustion chamber f at the rear of the flue is intersected by a second arched chamber with its arch h deflecting combustion gases into the tubes, some of which lie below the level of the flue. A casing at the front end of the boiler returns the gases through the upper tubes c to a rear outlet k. Three or four tube groups may be provided.
