Abstract
444,306. Feeding sheets. ROHRBACKER, H., 62, Winsstrasse, Berlin. Nov. 16, 1935, No. 31802. Convention date, Nov. 17, 1934. [Class 100 (i)] For feeding paper bags, sheets, &c. to printing, glueing, and like machines, the sheets are advanced to a stop h, near which the suction separator c acts, in the form of a series of overlapping piles w<1>, w<2>, w<3> ... which are moved intermittently over a slotted feed table t by means of bands f. The motion of the bands is controlled by a feeler in the form of a roller r which if raised to the position r<1> stops the motion of the bands f. To prevent the edges of the pile w<2> from becoming uneven owing to friction due to the motion of the front pile, this pile w<2> is controlled by means of a yieldingly mounted roller d with which co-operates a counterpressure roller g arranged in a transverse slot in the table. The separator c advances the sheets individually to a feed roller a with which co-operates a swinging roller b. The slot in the table t allows the operator to insert the piles readily beneath the preceding piles.
