Class 100(1) In a machine for' making envelopes, flat bags or the like the sheets of paper forming the blanks are separated from the bottom of a working pile 6 and fed to the machine, and this pile is replenished at the same rate as it is depleted by supplying individual sheets to the top of the pile. As shown, sheets are removed automatically from the top of a supply pile 1 by sucker and roller means 2, fed to a conveyer belt 5, and the belt feeds the sheets to the top of the pile 6. The sheets may be printed, stamped, cut, gummed &c. on the way to the working pile 6. In a modification, the pile 6 may be replenished by sheets cut from a web of paper fed from a roll.
