Abstract

438,823. Loom jacquards. DRACUP, C. T., Holly Bank Grove, and DRACUP, G., Greenfield House, both in Great Horton, Bradford, Yorkshire. Oct. 4, 1934, No. 28379. [Class 142 (i)] The jacquard cylinder J is moved towards and away from the needles by cams or eccentrics A on a shaft B carrying a peg wheel H for turning the star wheel G on the cylinder shaft F, the shafts B, F being mounted in a slidable frame C. In the form shown, eccentric rods E are pivoted to the framework at e, their other ends being connected to the eccentric straps. When two cylinders are used, they are mounted at each end of the sliding frame, their star wheels being driven by peg wheels connected by spur or chain gearing. When cams are used, they engage with rollers carried on a bracket on the framework, dwells on the cams corresponding to positions in which the cylinders are in engagement with the needles. The shaft B is driven by a chain, means being provided for disconnecting the drive for finding broken picks.
