Jan. 30, 1934, No. 3132. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 2, 1934]. [Class 75 (i)] Liquid fuel discharged from a tubular member 10 for combustion with air discharged from a surrounding chamber 15 is heated to a temperature of the order of the gasification temperature of the fuel by the passage of an elastic fluid or other heat carrier through a chamber 16 adjacent the chamber 15. The fuel discharge is regulated by a needle valve 12. One or more such burners may be used to heat an elastic fluid generator comprising a drum having depending tubes such as are used in mercury vapour generators. The generator supplies a turbine or other elastic fluid consuming apparatus and the chambers 16 of the burners.
