Abstract
413,253. Liquid-fuel supply. SULZER FRERES SOC. ANON., Winterthur, Switzerland. April 26, 1934, No. 12601. Convention date, July 27, 1933. [Class 75 (i).] In a furnace for use with a water tube steam generator, particularly when high pressure combustion is used, for use with a hot water circulating system, or for metallurgical, chemical or other purposes, and provided with two or more burners 1, 2 which are supplied with liquid fuel from a common chamber 11, the fuel flows to the burners through separate supply pipes 9, 10 at least two of which lead from different levels in the chamber. Thus a burner extinguished owing to momentary impure supply will be relit by another burner. If more than two burners are used, they may be supplied with fuel in groups from different levels. The exhaust gases may drive a turbine.
