Abstract

436,298. Washing-machines. W. W., Ltd., and CHRISTIE, P. J., 36, Great Titchfield Street, London. April 9, 1934, No. 10645. [Class 138 (ii)] In a washing machine wherein an agitator is oscillated in a tank, the tank is provided with a metal top plate 7 formed in one piece by casting or pressing and provided with a depending flange around its edge to engage the top of a casing 5 to support the tank therein. The agitator shaft is carried by a pivoted cover 8 which is secured to the top plate 7 by eccentric locking means 9. Lugs 13 are provided having apertures 14 therein to receive pins projecting from the bottom of a wringer, and the lugs may be connected by a strip or plate 16.
