[Class 138 (ii).] In a combined washing-machine and boiler wherein the washer E and boiler F are housed in the same casing A, the washer and boiler are secured to an aluminium or other metal casting D formed with a flange d resting on the top of the casing and with flanged and rebated apertures d<1>, d<2> for the washer and boiler respectively. The casting D is also formed with open bearings d<3> to receive pins k projecting from the agitator K which comprises a rectangular frame with cross-bars k<1> of oval or diamond cross-section connecting the bottoms of the side members. The agitator is provided with a removable handle which may serve as a copper stick. A wringer frame M, Fig. 4, is provided with depending pins m, m<1> which engage sockets d', d<5> in the casting D. The pin m<1> is shorter than the pin m so that when the former is withdrawn from its socket the other may remain and serve as a pivot whereby the frame can be swung from the operative position, wherein it is between the washer and the boiler, to one in which it stands along the back of the apparatus. When the table cover P is to be placed over the apparatus the wringer is removed entirely and laid on the covers of the washer and boiler.
