[Class 64 (iii)] A heat-exchanger is built of two corrugated sheets 1 welded together at the periphery and also at the contacting troughs 2. A reinforcing plate 6 is welded to the seams which are parallel to the corrugations, and also to the troughs of the corrugations. Transverse channels 7 are formed across the corrugations. The plate 6 may be corrugated within one or more of the channels 7, or it may be made in two parts with a gap between them.
