Abstract
447,891. Making heat - exchangers. JUNKERS & CO., GES., 35, Junkersstrasse, Dessau, Anhalt, Germany. Jan. 20, 1936, No. 1821. Convention date, Jan. 26, 1935. [Class 83 (ii)] A heat-exchange apparatus, comprising a tube 11 for conveying a liquid to be heated or cooled attached to a plate 10, is formed by soldering the tube to the plate while flat and then curving the plate to the final form and soldering the edges 13. Grooves to receive the tube may be formed in the plate. Soldering material is preferably placed between the tubes and plate, and the assembly heated while under pressure to secure close union. The tube 11, Fig. 2, may be so bent that the turns are closer together adjacent the fins 18 in the completed article. The exchanger and a burner 19 are enclosed in a jacket 20.
