[Class 64 (iii)] Alternate plates of a plate heat-exchanger have transverse rows of ribs or corrugations 9 so inclined in opposite directions in successive rows as to guide the fluid in a zig-zag path between the plates. The ribs or corrugations of adjacent rows may be continuous.
