Abstract

384,876. Road-traffic signals on vehicles. TAYLOR, E., 18, York Street, Hulme, Manchester. March 22, 1932, No. 8448. [Class 118. (ii).] A signalling device mounted on the roof of a motor vehicle comprises a closed case C containing a shaft D carrying a semaphore arm G which can be rotated by a shaft E journalled in a plate F fixed to the dashboard B. The shaft E is fixed in various positions by a spring pin H which engages in holes in the plate F. The arm G may be fitted with coloured glass panels g and an electric lamp g<1> and may carry a balance weight W at its lower end. Specifications 243,240 and 272,089, [both in Class 118 (ii), Signals], are referred to.
