366,683. Valve amplifying circuits. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, 13D, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. Jan. 6, 1931, No. 481. Convention date, Feb. 14, 1930. [Class 40 (v).] A thermionic amplifier has a variable ohmic resistance 3 in series with the output or coupling impedance 2, such as a transformer, the voltage drop across all or part of the resistance being fed back to the input, as for example via transformer 6, in such manner that for all frequencies the voltages across the output impedance are proportional to the signal voltages. The impedance of transformer 6 should be large relative to the resistance of 3 and its ratio is 1 : 1.
