465,030. Valve amplifying circuits. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. Nov. 9,1936, No. 30563. Convention date, Nov. 11, 1935. [Classes 40 (iii) and 40 (v)] Uniform amplification throughout a wide frequency range is obtained by providing, in an amplifier for television and like purposes, a two-terminal network shunted across the output terminals and comprising a slightly damped primary tuned circuit L1, C1. coupled to a more heavily damped secondary circuit L2, C2 with damping resistance R2. The circuits may be coupled inductively, Fig. 3, or by an additional condenser CK, Fig. 4, and Fig. 2, (not shown) ; or the condenser C1 may serve as the coupling condenser, Fig. 1 (not shown). The resistance R2 may be connected in shunt, Fig. 4, or in series, Fig. 3, or it may serve as a coupling as shown in Fig. 6, which shows also an additional timed circuit L3 C3. The position, Fig. 6, of R2 may be interchanged with that of L2 C2, Fig. 5 (not shown).
