Abstract
358,982. Road &c. paving ; slabs. GHEUDE, L., 1, Rue AbbÚ Cuypers, Brussels, LEDOUX, A., 10, Quai de Meuse, Jambes-lez-Namur, and DETHIER, E., 2, Rue Florent Dethier, Namur, all in Belgium. July 16, 1930, No. 21573. Convention date, May 22. [Classes 87 (i) and 107.] Roads and like surfaces are paved with slabs 2 having a basis of compressed concrete, cement, or tar, and provided at the outer edges with an enclosing metal frame 3 having recesses 4 to receive filling material provided at the joints, and at intervals in such surfaces there is provided a row of removable metal-mounted slabs 7 having no jointing recesses. Each slab comprises a concrete or tar base and a wearing surface formed of small blocks 10 of paving stone, porphyry, sandstone, brick, wood, asphalt, &c. embedded in the base. The sides of the metal mountings of the slabs 7 may slope inwardly. Specifications 359,503, [Group V], and 359,572 are referred to.
