Paving - blocks. - Paving blocks or slabs of compressed natural rock asphalt are provided with one or more grooves to form non-slipping surfaces. Fig. 5 illustrates a series of blocks laid to break joint so that the single inclined groove in each block forms continuous lines e across the surface. Fig. 7 illustrates an arrangement in which the grooves form continuous zig-zag lines g. Other arrangements are illustrated.
