348,131. Closures for tin boxes &c. SCHMIDT, E., 9, Schmollerstrasse, Berlin. Jan. 25,. 1930, No. 2646. Convention date, July 18, 1929. [Classes 18 and 125 (iii).] A closure for a tin box or other sheet-metal container comprises a lid 5 having an inwardly extending cylindrical portion 4 impressed with a groove 6 constituting a thread which engages with a corresponding part thread 3 formed in the upper edge of the box body 2. The lid is secured in position by a slight rotation thereof and a washer 7 may be provided in the channel formed by the portion 4 to engage the upper edge of the body and ensure a tight closure.
