Abstract
320,335. Green, F. H. July 9, 1928. Razors, safety. A safety razor comprises a blade 6 mounted in a holder 5 carried by a spindle 3<a> journaled in a frame 2 and having rollers 9 or pinions coacting with grooves 8 or pinions provided on a roller 7 journaled in the frame and adapted to be oscillated by contact with a strop, the blade being held in shaving position solely by means of a latch 12, Figs. 2, 3, pivoted on the handle 1 and adapted to engage a hole in a lug 10 provided on the holder 5. In the modification shown in Figs. 5, 7, the latch comprises a rectangular member 13 pivoted on the frame 2 and provided with catches 14 adapted to engage the holder 5, the member 13 also forming a guard for the blade.
