Abstract

300,079. Wassell, D. G. April 4, 1928. Stropping-apparatus for safety razors consists of a blade-holder 9 secured by means of two arms 8 to a spindle 4 rotatably carried by a frame 5 having pairs of, or single, cross-bars 6 at its ends. The blade 11 is held in place by studs 10, a plate 20, and a rotatable stud 12 having a projection engageable over the plate 20. The strop 7 passes between the blade-holder and the spindle, and relative movement causes the blade to rock over to engage the strop; the strop may lie in an inclined position across the holder, and inclined or arched guides 13 may be provided.
