Abstract

315,086. Nile Spinning & Doubling Co., Ltd., Dawson, S., and Wild, H. June 27, 1928. Conditioning warps.-The yarns 9 pass over a conditioning roller 6 in a trough 7 and over a roller 10 to the beam 3, the roller 10 being carried in bea.ring 11 in rods 12, which, when the machine is stopped, are raised by vertically-guided pokers or pushers 15, operated by lever mechanism 20, 23, 24, 28 from the counterbalanced stopping lever 29. The machine is stopped either manually by depressing the pedal 30, or automatically by a knock-off motion operating a thread breakage, the roller 10 being in both cases immediately raised so as to lift the threads from the conditioning roller. Instead of raising the bearings of the roller, the roller itself may be raised out of half bearings.
