Abstract

312,303. Nyborg, T. G., and Higgins, M. F. Feb. 24, 1928. Driving-gear for endless-belt conveyers.-The drive is transmitted to the load-carrying and return runs of the .belt solely and directly through belt supporting rollers disposed intermediate of the idle end rollers. The load-carrying run B is supported by rollers 1, 2, &c. and the return run b rests on rollers 3, 4, &c. Driving pulleys 6, 10, 8, 12, respectively, are fixed on extensions of the shafts of these rollers and are engaged by an '.endless rope 18 which is passed round pulleys 14, 15 on the driving shaft 13 of a motor. The shafts of the rollers may be connected by wheels 24, 25.
