Abstract
303,513. Krupp Grusonwerk Akt.- Ges., F. Jan. 5, 1928, [Convention date]. Magnetic separators.-The drum 3 rotates between poles 1, 2 which are staggered relatively to each other, the material being fed between the pole 1 and the armature by a shoot 5. The non-magnetic material passes off at 6 and the magnetic material adhering to the drum 3 falls on to a shaking tray &c. 8 and is subjected to a second separation between the drum 3 and the pole 2. In a modification, the poles may be arranged laterally of the drum and staggered vertically and two hoppers are provided to feed the material simultaneously to the two fields between the poles and the drum. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also a further modification in which two drums 18, 19, Fig. 3 (Cancelled), rotating in opposite directions are provided and the material is fed simultaneously between the drums 18, 19 and the poles 20, 21 respectively by hoppers 22, 23. The poles 20, 21 may be adjustably mounted in the core 24. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
