Abstract

302,598. Fõrberei Weidmann Akt.- Ges. Dec. 17, 1927, [Convention date]. Treating webs with liquids.-A fabric 7 in open width is passed in continuous lengths in unstretched condition through a bleaching, washing or dyeing bath, being held to a permeable sagging conveyer-band 5 by the pressure of the fluid, which is passed through the, fabric being circulated by the screw 6. The speeds of the conveyer and the screw may be regulated, and the fabric may be fed at a speed slightly in excess of that of the conveyer, so as to form transverse folds thereon. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also an arrangement wherein the fabric is held to the outside of a rotating permeable drum by the pressure of the fluid passing inwardly through the fabric. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
