Abstract

306,462. Cole, C. P. Feb. 20, 1928, [Convention date]. Dolly machines; circulating fluids.-In dyeing &c. textile material formed with pleats in the liquid, the liquid is caused to support the lower portion of the descending column of pleats, the material being at the same time drawn from the pleats. The endless ropes fall in pleats on to the guide 14 which is set at 45‹ and is spaced from the floor 15 of the vat so that a recess 16 is formed. The pleats come under the flotative action of the liquid the circulation of which may be induced either by the steam jets 6 or by the advance of the fabric through the liquid.
