Abstract

283,880. Paquet, R. Jan. 18, 1927, [Convention date]. Jigging conveyers.-In crank linkages, for converting rotary into reciprocatory motion, particularly applicable to jig conveyers, in which asymmetrical accelerations are obtained at the two ends of the stroke by the use of a short connecting rod or the equivalent, a reciprocatory member 11 is driven by an eccentric 9<1> secured to a shaft 9 and acting through a loose eccentric disc 10 which takes the place of a connecting rod. The device is mounted in an oil retaining casing 1, the shaft 9 being driven through a speed reducing pair of gears 7, 8 and bevel gears 4, 5, from a shaft 2 with an external driving pulley 3. The reciprocatory member is guided by slides 12 and carries a rigid rod 13 passing through the opposite end wall of the casing.
