Mounting electric lamps in lanterns.-In a projection lamp the source of light is carried independently of the reflector or reflectors, or a refractor or refracting system, by means of a spider or other fitting slidably mounted on a series of rigid parallel members of a supporting framework. In the form shown, an electric lamp bulb b is vertically adjustable in fitting b<2> by means of a split sleeve b<3> and a milled clamping nut b', and the fitting b<2> may be adjusted laterally on a pair of transverse rods g<g> connected at their ends to vertical members g<4> suspended from the lower rods g<2> of the symmetrically arranged parallel rods g<2> connected to end members g, g<1>.
