Spring supports for seats.-A spring-controlled seat member g which is supported in a raised position when relieved of load, is arranged to move rearwardly and downwardly into positive engagement with its supporting frame, when sat upon. Figs. 1 and 2 show a seat member g carrying a plate e and rollers c, the latter running in slots b in the frame a. Figs. 3 and 5 show modified constructions. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) the invention may be applied to the seats of water-closets and a coin-operated mechanism may be provided, permitting the seat to be used only after the insertion of a coin. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
