[Class 52 (ii)] A head - rest for motorvehicle seats comprises a rigid foundation plate a, which carries a pad e of sponge rubber or of upholstered spring interior construction, and a single dependent arm b adapted to slide freely into a socket j on the back of the seat so that the pad e is supported on the top of the seat-back. The socket j may be let into the upholstery of the seatback.
