Sliding seats ; adjustments.-A sliding seat 1 is supported and guided at the front by a link 7 connected to a link 14 mounted on the shaft 15 of the actuating lever 16. The lower end of the link 7 has a pin-and-slot engagement, 9, 10, with the frame of the chair. The seat mav be held in adjusted position by a projection 23 on the lever 16, which engages recesses 24 in a sector 18, and which may be freed therefrom by a lateral movement of the lever 16 about a pivot 19.
